Oklahoma Football's 4 Most Important Games Of The 2015 Season

College football's unique in that a single loss could mean the difference between a conference championship (or the ultimate regular-season goal, a College Football Playoff spot) and becoming an also-ran in the FBS ranks. With that in mind, here's our list of Oklahoma Football's 4 Most Important Games Of The 2015 Season.

4. @ Baylor Bears (November 14th)

Baylor lost 2014 Big 12 Offensive Player of the Year Bryce Petty to graduation, but they still have a cache of talented quarterbacks who can slot in perfectly in the team's breakneck-speed offense. This is a defining "prove it" road game for the Sooners.

3. @ Kansas State Wildcats (October 17th)

The Sooners have the misfortune of facing both the aforementioned Bears and KSU on the road this year, but it's also a perfect opportunity to pad their resume in the eyes of the College Football Playoff committee. Bill Snyder's Wildcats are stacked again in 2015, so game one of that road game gauntlet will be no easy task.

2. @ Tennessee Volunteers (September 12th)

The Sooners' first test of the 2015 season comes in Knoxville against a Vols squad who has the makings of a dark horse contender in a wide-open SEC. For an Oklahoma team that sputtered down the stretch in 2014, here's a great chance to make an early road statement.

1. TCU Horned Frogs (November 21st)

The very next week after the Baylor road test, the Sooners have a date with Heisman hopeful Trevone Boykin and the Horned Frogs in Norman. TCU's a trendy College Football Playoff pick in 2015 after just missing the inaugural field in 2014. This game could easily be a de facto conference title game for OU heading into their Bedlam brawl with Oklahoma State to close out the regular season.
