Oklahoma Football Recruiting: Sooners Focusing On Wide Receivers With National Signing Day Approaching

The Oklahoma Sooners may be without a wide receivers coach right now, but that's not stopping them from going all-in on targeting talented wide receivers prior to Wednesday's National Signing Day - especially with new offensive coordinator Lincoln Riley looking to make his mark early his time in Norman.

Per James Hale of 247Sports, Riley "doesn’t seem to be concerned with slot receiver compared to wide receivers and just wants to add to the wide receiver corps with good players, and thus he has offered tall, rangy receivers despite the fact that Meyer, Smallwood, Todd and Andrews are all young receivers in the OU roster. OU currently doesn’t have a wide receiver coach, but Coach Riley doesn’t seem to want to put restrictions on the style of receiver he brings in; he just wants to bring in more good players."

Two wideouts to look out for before Signing Day are 3-star Dallas product A.D. Miller (who appears to be favoring Oklahoma over fellow finalist Kentucy) and 3-star Washington State commit Dahu Green, who is rumored to be to be serious considering flipping to Oklahoma.

Stay tuned.
