Oklahoma Sooners running backs have 139 total carries over the first four weeks of the 2014 season. Their fumble total? A big, fat zero.

As Jason Kersey of NewsOK.com points out, "that's especially impressive, considering the youth at the position. True freshman Samaje Perine has been the team's leading rusher thus far, with sophomores Keith Ford and Alex Ross contributing lots as well."

Ford was considered Oklahoma's top choice at running back before suffering a leg injury back on September 13th against Tennessee. Ford had fumbling issues as a true freshman in 2013, as we benched after the early turnover problems became too much to let happen.

However, ball security hasn't been a problem for any of the Sooners' backs in 2014, regardless of no perceptible shift in game-planning this season.

"We do the same thing we always do," running backs coach Cale Gundy said. "Take care of it or you don't play."
