There have been a strange occurrence of earthquakes in Oklahoma in recent years, but the quaking being felt most recently was that of Oklahoma Sooners fans at the news of Baker Mayfield's ailing shoulder.
According to The Oklahoman, a source said Mayfield has not sustained any structural damage, and is simply suffering from shoulder fatigue from overuse. Earlier reports suggested that Mayfield suffered a ton rotator cuff, the type of injury that potentially would scrap his entire 2015 season.
The OU athletic department felt compelled to quash the earlier report via its Twitter account.
