OKC Thunder: Kevin Durant shows up unexpectedly at the Orlando Summer League, says surgically-repaired foot is progressing on schedule

ORLANDO — He needed no introduction, but the peach-stained letters emblazoned onto the front of his grey T-shirt sent a not-so subtle reminder to all those in attendance.

“High. Volume. Scorer,” his shirt read, each word positioned just below the one before it for maximum emphasis.

On his feet was a pair of matching peach low-top Jordan sneakers, significant because the one on the right, finally, had replaced that annoying white walking boot he had been subjected to for months.

Here was Kevin Durant, high volume scorer, arguably the world’s best player, walking around just like anyone else on the first day of the Orlando Pro Summer, walking around just fine after three surgeries to correct his problematic right foot.
