If coach Urban Meyer has his way, only two Ohio State players will know who’ll be the starting quarterback before the Virginia Tech game.
Meyer said he plans to tell J.T. Barrett and Cardale Jones on Saturday which one has won the starting job. He expects those two to keep it to themselves.
“That won’t be announced to anybody, not even the team,” Meyer said Thursday on his call-in radio show on 97.1 The Fan.
Meyer said he met with Barrett and Jones on Wednesday and let them know who had the edge. He added the competition remained “so close.
