Ohio State Recruiting Roundup: Top WR To Visit, Offer Puts Buckeyes On Top For 2018 DB Target

The Ohio State Buckeyes are turning up the heat on the recruiting trail during the offseason, and that paid off last weekend when five-star QB Tate Martell, the top-ranked dual-threat quarterback in the country, announced his commitment to OSU. Here's all the latest news and rumors surrounding Ohio State's recruiting efforts:

Nation's top wide receiver to visit
Ohio State will have plenty of top recruiting targets on campus this weekend for a visit, and they added one more on Friday. Five-star wide receiver Donovan Peoples-Jones (Detroit, MI) announced on Twitter that he will visit the school today:

The Buckeyes figure to be behind Michigan and Florida in the race to land Peoples-Jones, but this visit could change that.

Peoples-Jones is ranked as the No. 1 wideout and No. 6 overall player in the country.

Buckeyes on top for 2018 safety
Ohio State offered 2018 four-star safety Jaiden Woodbey (Upland, CA) on Thursday, and they immediately shot to the top of his list.

"They are my top school," Woodbey told 247sports. "The program, the players produced and the atmosphere."

Woodbey also has offers from Alabama, Notre Dame, Oklahoma, UCLA, USC and Washington. He is ranked as the No. 6 safety and No. 77 overall prospect in the country.
