The leader of the Ohio State cornerbacks has changed from year to year of late, and now it’s Eli Apple’s turn.
“You know you have a lot more responsibility, you can’t just worry about yourself,” said Apple, who as a third-year sophomore is young to have such duty thrust upon him. “You have to think about who’s looking up to you, the young guys, and try to set a good example for them.”
When Apple arrived at Ohio State in 2013, Bradley Roby was in what turned out to be his final season. Last year, as Apple rose to a starter, players looked up to Doran Grant.
