Ohio State Football News: Buckeyes announce changes to 2015 schedule

Ohio State has announced several changes to its 2015 football schedule. The schedule, which is now complete, includes changes to the date of their season opener against Virginia tech, as well as the addition of home games against Hawaii and Western Michigan.

The Buckeyes open their 2015 schedule on the road against Virginia Tech on Monday, Sept. 7th (Labor Day). The game will be played at Lane Stadium in Blacksburg, and was moved back from the original date of Sept. 5th so it could be nationally televised on either ABC or ESPN.

Ohio State's non-conference schedule has been altered to include three consecutive home games at the Shoe: Sept. 12 vs. Hawaii; Sept. 19 vs. Northern Illinois (which was originally scheduled for Sept. 26); and Sept. 26 vs. Western Michigan.

There haven't been any alterations to Ohio State's Big 10 schedule in 2015, and the Buckeyes will play Indiana, Maryland, Penn State, Rutgers, Minnesota, Michigan State, and Michigan. The Big 10 teams Ohio State won't play in 2015 (unless they meet up in the Big 10 Championship game) include Iowa, Nebraska, Northwestern, Purdue and Wisconsin.

Additionally, the Buckeyes have moved their game against Cincinnati from Sept. 8, 2018, to Sept. 7, 2019. The game will still be played at Ohio Stadium.
