Buckeyes QB J.T. Barrett Has Sprained MCL

Ohio State quarterback J.T. Barrett has done well stepping in for the injured Braxton Miller this season, but now he's suffered an injury of his own.

Head coach Urban Meyer said Barrett has a sprained MCL and will be limited in practice this week.

Barrett seemed to be bothered by something in the second half of Ohio State's double-overtime win over Penn State, though it wasn't clear what was wrong or when he might have gotten hurt.

However, Barrett did rush for both of Ohio State's touchdowns in overtime, which showed he can play through this injury if he needs to (even though his overall performance left much to be desired).

Ohio State faces Illinois this weekend before their showdown with Michigan State on November 8.
