3 Ohio State Football Storylines To Watch In 2015

There's plenty of intrigue surrounding the defending national champion Ohio State Buckeyes just months away from the start of the 2015 college football season, but these are the three BIGGEST storylines to keep an eye on with time ticking down until things get underway.

1. Quarterbacks Everywhere

Head coach Urban Meyer has one of the best (and worst) conundrums a football coach can have -- too much talent at the quarterback position. There's no real indication coming out of Columbus about the true state of the race between Cardale Jones, JT Barrett and Braxton Miller. That'll change as the days go on, but this is still the PRIMARY storyline for the program going forward.

2. Ezekiel Elliott For Heisman?

Elliott is currently the consensus Vegas favorite to win the 2015 Heisman Trophy, coming in at 6/1 odds over competitors such as LSU RB Leonard Fournette (15/2) and TCU QB Trevone Boykin (8/1). With all the attention being paid to the QB situation, it's easy to forget just how essential Elliott is to the team's offensive gameplan going forward. All the pieces are in place for him to run roughshod over the Big Ten. If he can do that, some VERY impressive hardware could be in his future.

3. Where Does The Defense Go From Here?

Ohio State's defense was largely untested for most of the 2014 regular season, giving up big rushing numbers in wins over Michigan State, Minnesota and Indiana. They clamped down in the team's final three games, stealing the spotlight in the College Football Playoff and picking up the offense when the turnover bug took hold. Now's the time to figure out if Joey Bosa and the crew can extend their late-season heroics into a full season of dominance.
