Men’s team stronger, deeper

After winning just 10 games in Saul Phillips’ first season as head coach of Ohio men’s basketball, the Bobcats finished last season as MAC-East runner-ups with a 23-12 record (11-7 MAC). He’s orchestrated an extremely quick turnaround for the Ohio men’s basketball program, and expectations will be higher than ever before the imminent start of Phillips’ third season in Athens.

All but one player from last year’s team (graduated senior forward Treg Setty) is back this year for Ohio, and two freshmen have been added in 6-foot-5 guard Rodney Culver and 6-foot-8 forward Jason Carter. With almost an entire roster returning, Phillips has been able to skip the basic training during practice.
