By now, the story has been beaten to a pulp. Sheldon Adelson backed out of the stadium proposal, the Oakland Raiders couldn’t get Goldman Sachs to the table, the $750M public subsidy was no longer a sure thing, and Las Vegas essentially was dead in the water.
Nevertheless, Oakland Raiders President Marc Badain came out and said that financing for the stadium would not be an issue, and the team remained committed to getting a new stadium built in Sin City.
Well, perhaps Badain was right. At least according to Jason Cole:
#NFL source said #Raiders exec Marc Badain told the league the team has two banks ready to loan money for the Las Vegas project.
