Per the Associated Press, Oakland Raiders President Marc Badain announced that the team will present their day three draft selections (Saturday) in front of the famous “Welcome To Las Vegas” sign.
“Badain made the announcement Thursday during a gathering of the public entity overseeing the proposed 65,000-seat stadium the team wants to occupy in Las Vegas.”
The Clark County Commissioner, Steve Sisolak, shared the news on Twitter. Also noting that further details were to come.
The news certainly strikes a nerve with at least some Bay Area fans, if not more. The Raiders have at least two, maybe three seasons before they officially leave town for Vegas, but it sure looks like the team wishes it was sooner.
