Raiders’ Sio Moore, Roy Helu forced to compete for playing time

Outside linebacker Sio Moore started 11 games each of his first two seasons and was one of the better players on last year’s 3-13 Raiders team. That buys him bubkus, with an extra scoop of nada, with first-year head coach Jack Del Rio.

Moore, along with backup running back Roy Helu Jr., returned to practice Wednesday after missing most of training camp. Moore had a setback after returning the second day of camp from offseason hip surgery, and Del Rio was asked if there was enough time before the season starts to win back his starting job.
