The third preseason game is often called a dress rehearsal — it’s a nice way to get full-ticket-price-paying fans thinking they’re going to see something important.
But Saturday at the Coliseum, Raiders fans really are in for a treat. Besides the starters playing the first two or three quarters, undrafted rookie running back Jalen Richard is expected to get a long look after missing the first two games with a knee injury.
And that’s very exciting, according to usually unexcitable offensive coordinator Bill Musgrave.
“For a while he was doing something spectacular each and every day in practice,” Musgrave said.
