Raiders CB Hayden (hamstring) heading to IR

ALAMEDA, Calif. -- Oakland Raiders cornerback D.J. Hayden will be placed on season-ending injured reserve with a hamstring injury suffered in Sunday's victory against the Carolina Panthers, coach Jack Del Rio said.

Hayden, the 12th overall selection in the 2013 draft, is in the final year of his rookie contract.

With Hayden out, TJ Carrie, Antonio Hamilton and perhaps Dexter McDonald should split time in the slot as well as backing up Sean Smith and David Amerson on the outside. Amerson, though, was listed as questionable to play with a knee injury that kept him out of last week's game.
