Only few fans show at Raiders facility to peacefully mourn move

ALAMEDA — Raiders fan Donald Waltz showed up at the team facility Monday eager to burn a jersey and cap in response to their impending move to Las Vegas.

The presence of an Alameda police officer changed Waltz’s plan, however, so a bottle of kerosene got ditched into a bush and a replica No. 24 jersey of Charles Woodson got spared, for now.

“I’m not willing to go to jail for Mark Davis and the NFL,” said Waltz, 47, of Castro Valley. “They’re not willing to help the citizens of the Bay Area to keep their team.
