Wide receiver Robert Herron’s time with the Oakland Raiders was barely even started before the news came out that the former Wyoming wideout was being cut after two days. A very short stint for a player who has been struggling to find a home in the NFL after an encouraging season in 2014 in Tampa Bay.
After a rookie season where Herron played in eight games as a sixth-round draft pick, 2015 was filled with injuries that led Herron away from Tampa and to the Raiders on a contract to see what he could do during OTA’s. A tryout that was apparently unsuccessful as the Raiders coaching staff have made the quick decision to take an offseason body off of their roster by quickly waiving Herron.
