Questions began even before Marshawn Lynch joined the Raiders about how well he can play.
You can count Raiders offensive coordinator Todd Downing among those who are optimistic — even if he wasn’t at first — based on his recent comments to SiriusXM’s Movin’ The Chains program.
“He has pleasantly surprised me at every turn,” Downing said. “It’s been really neat to be around him.”
Downing addressed the nature of OTAs, which are not even as meaningful as training camp, but complimented Lynch some more.
“He loves football; he’s a football junkie,” Downing said.
