Going into the offseason, it was expected that the Oakland Raiders would have left tackle Donald Penn high on their priority list. Most assuming that given how Penn performed in his two seasons with the Raiders, protecting the young Derek Carr at the left tackle position and how Penn publicly expressed his interest in staying with the team during the regular season that the Raiders would be trying to lock him up well before free agency opens.
According to Penn, that expected interest hasn’t happened and the Raiders front office have yet to begin negotiating with the left tackle.
