The Oakland Raiders are once again searching for a new head coach after demoting interim head coach Tony Sparano on Monday.

Sparano finished just 3-9 after taking over for ousted head coach Dennis Allen on September 30th. The team undoubtedly played hard for Sparano, winning its last three home games while effectively ruining the playoff hopes of the Kansas City Chiefs, San Francisco 49ers, and Buffalo Bills.
However, owner Mark Davis and the rest of the Oakland Raiders front office appear determined to make a splash when it comes to find a coaching candidate out of house, leaving Sparano will a reduced role in the final year of his contract with the team.
