MESA, Ariz. - Jesse Hahn endured a rough 2016 season and appeared almost off the A’s radar, spending most of the year at Triple-A Nashville.
Now, he’s starting the team’s Cactus League opener Saturday against the Cubs, a clear indication that not only does he remain in Oakland’s plans but that he is firmly in the mix for the fifth-starter spot.
“I’m very excited,” he said. “I’m so glad to get the opportunity.”
Kendall Graveman will start Sunday, Sean Manaea on Monday and Jharel Cotton and Andrew Triggs will both work in Tuesday’s game.
