Trio of injured A's pitchers to throw on Monday

Three injured A's pitchers will test their arms on Monday, A's manager Bob Melvin told reporters prior to Sunday's game against the Rays.

Starter A.J. Griffin and reliever Eric O'Flaherty will throw bullpen sessions, while starter Drew Pomeranz will throw a side session.

Griffin had Tommy John surgery last spring.

O'Flaherty was placed on the 15-day disabled list on May 2 with a left shoulder strain. He could go on a rehab assignment soon if his bullpen session goes well. In eight appearances this season, O'Flaherty has a 11.57 ERA.

Pomeranz hit the DL on May 20 with a sprained AC joint in his left shoulder.
