KANSAS CITY – In the event that Jesse Hahn can’t make his next start Thursday, the A’s are looking at Jesse Chavez as a possible fill-in.
Hahn left Saturday’s start against the Royals in the sixth inning after a blister opened up on the middle finger of his throwing hand. He would be scheduled for his between-start bullpen session Monday, and the A’s expect to get more clarity on the situation after that.
Hahn said Saturday night he expected to be ready Thursday, which will be the finale of a four-game series in Anaheim against the Angels.
