HOUSTON -- A's first baseman Yonder Alonso exited Wednesday's game against the Astros in the eighth inning after fouling a ball off his right knee.
Alonso immediately went to the ground, and appeared to be in serious pain. He stood up and took a couple of steps with help from a trainer before getting escorted into the dugout.
Pinch-hitter Rajai Davis assumed a 2-2 count against Astros reliever Luke Gregerson and struck out swinging. Alonso was credited with the strikeout.
