Teddy Greenstein of the Chicago Tribune has reported that Notre Dame is trying to work out a home-and-home series with the Wisconsin Badgers. Currently, no public statement has been made by either school, but this series seems like a must. A dream match-up between two of the most historic programs in college football.
While accompanied by two of the largest fan bases, this seems like a game that should have been played a long time ago.
The last time these two faced off was 1964, when Notre Dame defeated Wisconsin 31-7. A historic moment for the Irish as that was Ara Parseghian’s first win as Notre Dame’s coach.
