The Notre Dame Fighting Irish have had some struggles this summer on the recruiting trail. What was supposed to be an impactful June, tuned into the Summer swoon. All of that is now off the table with the commitment of 3 star running back, Jahmir Smith.
The Sanford, North Carolina product has a nice combination of vision and speed. His ball carrying skills make him to be a natural, and he runs downhill. His north-south running style makes him play much bigger than his 6'0" 195 pound frame even bigger. He is a really nice complement to current Irish 2018 running back commit, Markese Stepp.
