Overnight ratings dipped for NBC’s latest Notre Dame telecast.
The Navy/Notre Dame college football game earned a 1.9 overnight rating on NBC Saturday afternoon, down 30% from Stanford/Notre Dame last year (2.7) and down 24% from Arizona State/Notre Dame in primetime in 2013 (2.5). The 1.9 is NBC’s highest for the annual rivalry game since 2009, but could not match last year’s primetime meeting between the teams on CBS (2.4).
Head-to-head, Notre Dame’s win trailed regional action on ABC (2.2) and Georgia/Tennessee on CBS (3.1). It earned the second-lowest overnight of the weekend for college football on broadcast, ahead of only TCU/Kansas State on FOX (1.
