Alex Pritchard ankle injury requires surgery as Norwich City midfielder is ruled out for at least 12 weeks

Norwich City have announced that midfielder Alex Pritchard needs surgery on his injured ankle and will be out for a minimum of three months.

Pritchard, 24, missed the Canaries' opening two games after he was carried off on a stretcher during a 2-0 win at Cambridge during pre-season.

Norwich manager Daniel Farke confirmed the news on the club's official website.
