As initially reported by Jon Rothstein, Northwestern's opponent for the 2016 Big Ten/ACC Challenge will be the Wake Forest Demon Deacons.

This is a slight letdown. Wake Forest was very not good last year. They finished 125th in KenPom ratings and won just two ACC games. Wake probably won't provide much of a resume building opportunity for the Wildcats.
Either way, Northwestern gets to host a power conference team in Welsh-Ryan in a game that will probably be nationallytelevised.
