NORTH LIBERTY, Ia. — A smile quickly crept onto Bennett Koch’s face as the question rolled in about his Northern Iowa teammate. His answer was a blend of excitement and relief.
After months of watching Wyatt Lohaus grind through a persistent right ankle injury that left him in street clothes for the season’s final 20 games, Koch and the Panthers are more than elated to have their veteran guard back.
“To have him back always doing the little things and the right things, consistently too, he’s one of those players who you can just depend on,” Koch said after Sunday’s Prime Time League action at the North Liberty Community Center.
