Box Score CEDAR FALLS, Iowa - The University of Northern Iowa softball team defeated the Drake Bulldogs at Robinson-Dresser Field on Tuesday, 5-2.
The Panthers completed a three-game season sweep of the Bulldogs. UNI extends its record to 27-17 overall and 15-6 in Missouri Valley Conference play.
UNI's Alyssa Buchanan went the distance in the circle and improved to 11-2 on the year. Buchanan struck out nine batters, while giving up only three hits and allowing two runs.
Drake kicked off the scoring in the top of the third when Megan Sowa came up to bat with Mandi Roemmich on second.
