Women’s golf looks to carry last week’s momentum into the Cardinal Classic with 36 holes today and 18 tomorrow in Yorktown, Indiana.
The Huskies are coming off a runner-up finish at the Redbird Invitational last week, where NIU finished the tournament with a team score of 892 and had two golfers finish in the top-10, sophomore’s Kelly Anderson and Brielle Ward.
“It was a great team effort,” said NIU head coach Kim Kester. “We’re going to take a lot of good things from this event and carry it over to the Ball State tournament.”
The Huskies led the tournament going into the final round, but were unable to hold off Boston College, who beat the Huskies by only two strokes overall.
