The Northern Illinois women's soccer team suffered a heartbreaking 1-0 loss in overtime at Toledo on Thursday.
The Rockets (7-9-1 overall, 2-6-1 in MAC West) scored the lone goal in the second overtime.
Goalkeeper Mackenzie Lee, who took over after starter Amy Annala was injured against Buffalo, finished with nine saves against Toledo.
“Mackenzie had a great game, she was focused and ready to go,” Huskies coach John Ross said. “She made a couple of big saves throughout the game and her biggest save came right before the goal on the play that gave them the corner.
