NIU women's basketball: Lehman records triple-double; Huskies score 108 points, improve to 4-1

DeKALB – The Northern Illinois women's basketball team hadn't started the season 4-1 since President Bush was in office.

George H. W. Bush.

For the first time since the 1990-91 season, the Huskies have won four of their first five games and put on a show on offense with senior guard Ally Lehman recording a triple-double in a 108-66 win over Illinois State on Saturday night at the NIU Convocation Center.

The Huskies came into the game ranked fifth in the country in points per game (94.3) and while Northern Illinois second-year coach Lisa Carlsen said the amount of points probably likely isn't sustainable – "it's fun though" she laughed – she's been impressed by the team's ball control and assist totals and she expects teams to be on alert for the Huskies offense.
