NIU baseball: Huskies struggling with consistency heading into MAC play

DeKALB – Northern Illinois baseball coach Mike Kunigonis said that the Huskies have had solid outings in each phase of the game this season.

The problem has been putting them all together in the same game.

The Huskies have struggled with consistency so far and carry a 4-16 record into the start of Mid-American Conference play, which begins at Toledo on Friday.

"It's not one thing, we just haven't put a complete game together yet," Kunigonis said. "We've hit, we've played D, we've pitched – we haven't done the three together consistently. Once that happens, we're going to win a lot of games.
