The three Northern Illinois wrestlers left in the NCAA tournament each fell a win short of earn All-American status on Friday in St. Louis.
At 125, Brock Hudkins lost 7-5 Oklahoma State's Nicholas Piccininni. He trailed early but managed to tie it at 4-4 in the third before falling late.
At 149, Steve Bleise was up early on San Diego State's Alex Kocer but lost 4-2 despite a first-period takedown.
Shawn Scott trailed Rider's Ryan Wolfe early in their match at 197, but tied it at 6-6. He was down 9-7 at the start of the third and lost 10-7 to end his season.
