DENTON -- If the goal was to "turn it loose, get in the left lane and have some fun with this thing," as coach Chad Morris described his retooled offense, then SMU's opener was a smashing success.
The Mustangs certainly turned it loose, unveiling a faster version of their power spread. They rolled up big plays and big numbers in a 34-21 victory over the Mean Green on Saturday night before the third largest crowd in Apogee Stadium history (24,718).
