The Tar Heels football team will lose one more member from 2016 as defensive backs coach Charlton Warren will leave the program in order to join the Tennessee coaching staff. Warren will continue to coach the secondary in his new role.
North Carolina has already lost much of their starting offense to graduation this year. They were further hurt by juniors Mitch Trubisky and Elijah Hood declaring for the 2017 NFL Draft. In a year that is looking more and more like a rebuild, Warren has seemingly left for greener pastures on a bigger stage.
