CHAPEL HILL – The No. 2 ranked North Carolina women’s tennis team opened the dual match season with a pair of 7-0 victories over Ball State and UNCG on Saturday from Cone-Kenfield Tennis Center.
In the morning, Carolina made quick work of Ball State. Hayley Carter and Alexa Graham posted a 6-1 victory to get the ball rolling on court one. Moments later, Sara Daavettila and Rachael James-Baker secured the opening point with a 6-2 win on court three.
#5 Carter was first to post a victory in singles – 6-0, 6-0 – over Carmen Blanco on court one.
