CHAPEL HILL - North Carolina continues its preparation for the 2016-17 women’s basketball season with a 12-day trip to Scotland, Ireland and Northern Ireland during which it will play three games.
The Tar Heels will depart on Thursday, July 28 and return Monday, Aug. 8. The team is scheduled to visit Edinburgh, Scotland, before heading to Belfast, Northern Ireland and then on to Dublin, Killarney and Galway in Ireland.
UNC will not only visit culturally significant destinations, the trip provides the team to compete against various clubs, including national teams from both Scotland and Ireland.
