Class of 2015 four-star wing Maverick Rowan, out of Fort Lauderdale’s Cardinal Gibbons High School, has finally made his decision and committed to North Carolina State. Scott Phillips of NBC Sports’ College Basketball Talk reported Rowan’s commitment.
Rowan had been committed to Pittsburgh initially and was not set to start college until next year, but chose to take summer classes and reclassify to 2015, de-committing from the Panthers in the process. On top of N.C. State, he was considering St. John’s, Louisville and West Virginia.
Rowan also took to Twitter to announce his decision.
I have decided that I will be attending North Carolina State to play under Coach Mark Gottfried.
