Marian Gaborik will be sidelined eight weeks with a foot injury suffered in Team Europe's win over Sweden at the World Cup of Hockey, Los Angeles Kings general manager Dean Lombardi told the Los Angeles Times.
Gaborik, 34, will miss the finals against Canada that begin Tuesday and will also be out for the first part of the NHL season, which begins Oct. 12.
Gaborik scored a goal in Europe's upset win on Sunday before taking a puck off his foot in the second period.
