Dubinsky gets 1-game ban for Crosby crosscheck

The NHL department of player safety has suspended Columbus Blue Jackets center Brandon Dubinsky for one game for his crosscheck on Pittsburgh Penguins star Sidney Crosby.

The department of player safety made its ruling after a hearing Saturday.

Crosby was hit in the back of the neck late in the Blue Jackets' 2-1 overtime win Friday night. He was slow getting to his skates and went to the locker room with 1:20 left in the second period. He returned for the third period and played the rest of the game.
