Blues forward Brouwer focused on being himself

ST. LOUIS -- After his trade from the Washington Capitals to the St. Louis Blues on July 2, right wing Troy Brouwer wanted to quickly get acclimated with his new teammates and city.

Acquired from Washington with goalie prospect Pheonix Copley and a third-round pick in the 2016 NHL Draft for right wing T.J. Oshie, Brouwer also felt it was best to get his family situated in town, especially because his wife, Carmen, is due to deliver the couple's second child in the coming days.

"You don't want to waste any time," Brouwer said.
