DE Jason Pierre-Paul: Credit him for learning to play with his severed hand and regaining much of the disruptiveness he provided prior to his fireworks accident as the club's franchise player last season. Now, the Giants, whose remarkable defensive strides in 2016 largely occurred without a premier edge defender outside of JPP and Olivier Vernon — New York finished 23rd in sack percentage — must show him the money to keep their 28-year-old homegrown star. JPP is excellent vs. the run, rarely comes off the field and delivers maximum effort, but it seems unlikely New York would tag him again.
