Highlighting the eight-person class, three-time NFL MVP Brett Favre will take his place in Canton, Ohio, in his first year on the ballot, according to ESPN.com's Adam Schefter.
There were 15 finalists from the modern era on this year's ballot, released on Jan. 7. The Hall of Fame selection committee was charged with the difficult task of winnowing that group down to determine the best of the best in football history.
