The Latest NFL Rumors And News On The Jets And Odell Beckham, Arian Foster And More

The NFL rumor mill isn't quite as active as it was earlier this year, as the draft is over and there are only a few notable free agents left. However, there are still plenty of rumors and news buzzing around the league. We have the latest and greatest of those NFL rumors below.

Jets Tried To Trade For Odell Beckham, Jr.
According to Rex Ryan, the Jets once tried to swing a trade for Odell Beckham, Jr. In a conversation with SI.com, Rex Ryan was asked about Sammy Watkins' injury issues. He responded by bringing up the Giants' star WR.

"The [Odell] Beckham kid came out the same year, and he missed how many games with a hamstring issue?" Ryan said. "Believe me, I was trying to trade for him [with the Jets] when he had the hamstring. I was reading the [New York] papers, and I was like, ‘Well, hell, we’ll take him.’"

That's a stunning revelation, as it hadn't been reported at all previously. Obviously the trade never happened, and this might be a case of Ryan exaggerating. The Jets (and every other team) might have wanted Beckham, but the Giants would have demanded quite a bit in any deal.

Broncos Have Reached Out To Arian Foster
The former Houston Texans RB is one of the top RBs left on the free agent market, despite still recovering from a torn Achilles. One of the teams to reach out to Foster is the the Denver Broncos.

The Broncos are coached by Gary Kubiak, who Foster played for in Houston. However, the Broncos aren't exactly hurting for RBs with C.J. Anderson, Ronnie Hillman and fourth round draft pick Devontae Booker on the roster. Denver likely won't want to pay Foster much and that's why he might retire if he doesn't get a deal he wants

Dri Archer Is MIA For The Bills
The Bills placed speedy RB Dri Archer on the reserve/did not report list earlier this week and now we know why. Archer is completely missing in action for the Bills, who claimed him off waivers last week.

"I never even talked to the kid, so we’ll see what happens," Ryan told SI.com. "He won’t return a call. Is it him not wanting to be a Bill, or is it something else? I don’t know, but I guess there’s a reason Pittsburgh let him go [last November]. But when you find something out, let us know, because I’ve never even talked to him."

Archer is one of the fastest players in the NFL, but it appears his commitment to the NFL is lacking. A former third round pick, Archer has talent. But it appears he isn't willing to make the most of it. He was released by the Jets before the Bills claimed him.

Dolphins Aren't Interested In Re-Doing Reshad Jones' Deal
Despite safety Reshad Jones sitting out of the voluntary workouts, the Dolphins don't have any interest in re-doing Jones' deal reports The Miami Herald. He emerged as one of the top safeties in the NFL last season, but will already make over $7 million in the next two seasons. However, The Miami Herald reports the team could change its mind if Jones' holdout continues. He wants a deal that will pay him at least $10 million per year.
