Newcastle United are considering a bid to re-sign Andros Townsend from Crystal Palace.
Manager Rafa Benitez wants to bring players in who can earn promotion and be ready-made for the Premier League to maintain momentum.
The 25-year-old Townsend left for Palace last summer in a £13million deal following Newcastle's relegation and started for Sam Allardyce against West Ham on Saturday.
However, he has not been a regular starter in Palace's first team and Newcastle will check to see if all parties are receptive to a deal.
